Why do we need to balance our energy?
When energy is flowing freely you are full of vitality, radiant and joyful. However, for many of us, it can be challenging to achieve this state.
Due to the pressures of modern day living, disturbances and disruptions are created within our energy field. If we do not address them, it can lead to mental, emotional and physical problems.
Reiki energy healing helps to restore balance and improve energy flow. This in turn creates the potential for you to live a life flowing with abundance. Filled with happiness, success, love and good health.
Universal life force energy
Energy, also known as prana, ki and chi is the life force of the universe and everything within it. It surrounds you, embraces you and connects you to all things. Put simply, everything within and around you is made up of energy. Therefore, each of us is part of one amazing and vibrant universal energy field.
This life force pulses through you and is the template for your physical being. You have many aspects and they are all connected, body, mind, emotions and soul.
What are Chakras?
We receive our life force through chakras. These are our energy centres. Think of them as gateways for universal energy. There are seven main chakras which run the length of your body. These radiate out from both the front and back of your body and influence different parts of your body.
The lower three are all related to your day to day living and the physical body. These are known as base, sacral and solar plexus.
The centre chakra, known as the heart chakra is a balancer of the upper and lower chakras.
The top three, throat, brow and crown are related to the higher aspects of your nature.
When these are in balance optimal health and wellbeing are achieved. A reiki treatment helps to bring about this balance.
On a spiritual level Reiki energy healing helps you to connect with that wise part of you, your higher self.
REIKI TREATMENT
At your first appointment I take a health history and discuss what you hope to gain from your treatment. Your treatment is carried out while you lie on a therapy couch in my comfortable and tranquil therapy room. I play relaxing music softly in the background. You remain fully clothed throughout and only need remove your shoes. However, if you are unable to lie down you may receive treatment whilst seated in a chair.
How it works
The energy is channelled through my hands which are placed gently, on or slightly above your body. Both ways are effective and you will absorb as much energy as you require via your energy centres (chakras).
How it feels
Sensations
You may experience a wide range of sensations during your treatment. For instance you may feel the energy as heat, coolness, tingling or involuntary jerks. Alternatively you may experience a sense of floating, a deep sleep state. Similarly you may sense or see colours, you may see or feel spirit or you may be aware of angels. In addition at times nothing is felt at all apart from a sense of deep relaxation. The energy still flows whether you feel its sensation or not.
Emotions
You may experience a range of emotions while you receive treatment.
A 30 minute Reiki session is £33
A 60 minute Reiki session is £49
In conclusion it is impossible to predict what range of emotions may be released. Each person has a unique response. Therefore, the outcome will always be positive. That of peace, love and deep relaxation. The effects of Reiki build up cumulatively and having a course of treatments helps to produce long term beneficial changes for you on many levels.
